Overview
I developed a food delivery website base on my users’ needs. In this role, I:
Conducted user research interviews with participants using directed storytelling.
Applied research findings to my content strategy.
Designed, branded, and created low and hi-fi wireframes and prototypes.
Led and conducted usability tests using the think-aloud method.
Challenge
While there are many unique food delivery websites(FDW), users were frustrated with the lack of transparency FDW made available. When it came to food ingredients and service fees, users wanted to feel a sense of trust in the restaurant and FDW. Strong communication features were another need users stated.
Goals
During my research, I wanted to know more about how users experience their favorite FDW ordering process and how users go about finding new and favorite restaurants. My learning goals for the directed storytelling interviews covered:
Why and what prompted users to use food delivery websites?
Why do users enjoy the websites that they use for food ordering?
What matters to users when ordering food online?
Outcome
My deliverables included: a user research report, low and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and a usability report.
Methods
My user research consisted of interviewing 3 participants using the directed storytelling method.
