Minnesota Women’s Press needs a reliable, user-friendly website that caters to its donors, subscribers, and daily visitors. In addition to growing its omnichannel presence, the website’s goals are to drive awareness, generate revenue, and entice users to take action by joining the Changemakers Alliance (CALL).

Overview
Our goal was to provide the client with an individual report of our findings and recommendations. In this role, I:
Conducted a Heuristic analysis and affinity diagramming.
Created scripts and moderated user testing interviews.
Designed and prepared the Findings and Recommendations Report.
Challenges
Minnesota Women’s Press (MWP) is in need of a usability test to asses its current website.
Goals/Outcome
Provide a Findings & Recommendations Report on our usability analysis of MWP’s mobile website.
Process & Methods
An initial heuristic analysis was conducted to evaluate the severity of MWP’s mobile website. Remote usability testing was conducted through bluetree.ai- a software simulating a mobile iPhone device. Participants consented to be audio and video recorded through Zoom. In addition, moderator and observer scripts were created by our team.
After gathering participant data, our team moved into affinity diagramming, connecting all the common frustrations.

Evaluated the usability of an existing design using a set of pre-defined success criteria.
Proposed relevant methods for evaluating designs/prototypes.
Synthesized research findings to identify meaningful insights.
